BIO
Andy Yang is the General Manager of InstantAction at GarageGames where he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the InstantAction direct-to-consumer business and underlying platform technology (3-D multi-player console-like games inside a Web browser). Andy is responsible for the growth and development of InstantAction, bringing to life the company’s vision of enabling gamers to play high quality online games from home, work, or anywhere they are online.
Prior to joining GarageGames, he was Sr. Director, Strategy & M&A at IAC/InterActiveCorp where he was responsible for sourcing and executing transformative partnerships and acquisitions. Prior to IAC, he was a Product Manager at Ask.com where he was responsible for defining product strategy and development of their award-winning Local/Mapping and Mobile Search products. Prior to joining Ask.com, Andy was a Web Architect at Sun Microsystems building a cutting-edge thin-client desktop technology called Sun Ray.
Andy holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University and currently sits on the Board of Directors for FiLife, a Joint Venture between IAC and the Dow Jones.
