BIO

Erin Holland brings a long history of establishing market leadership for companies of all sizes, with 19 years of experience in public relations. As general manager, Holland is responsible for strengthening Edelman’s leadership presence in the Northwest. In this role, she focuses on applying the office’s expertise in technology, consumer marketing, health care, public affairs, food and nutrition, community relations, online marketing, corporate reputation and issues management to help companies achieve their business objectives.

Holland plays a leading role for several large clients in the Northwest region, including Microsoft, Autodesk, Oregon Bridge Delivery Partners, NorthernStar Natural Gas, and Columbia Sportswear, and formerly for Port of Portland, Vulcan and lucy.

Prior to joining Edelman, Holland was a vice president with Fleishman-Hillard, overseeing corporate, crisis and technology PR for clients such as Sun Microsystems and iPlanet.

Previous to Fleishman-Hillard, she spent 11 years at Waggener Edstrom as a senior vice president, working on many segments of the Microsoft account, including corporate, crisis and product PR; reputation management; media event management; executive speaker training; and national media management and story placements. She played an instrumental role in launching numerous Microsoft server products.

Holland sits on the board of directors for the North Clackamas Education Foundation, for the University of Oregon Journalism Advancement Council and for the Oregon Sports Authority. In 2006-7, she played an active role on the responsible-building task force for Oregon Stand for Children, working to relieve overcrowding in Oregon schools. From 2004 to 2007, she was a member of the board of the March of Dimes and chairwoman of its communications committee.

Holland holds a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from the University of Oregon and commits whole-heartedly to speaking to college classes whenever possible. In 2000, she and three teammates were named All-American Swimmers for a national relay record. A member of the board for the North Clackamas Masters Swim Team, she continues to swim at 5 a.m. every day.
